Get excited!
A) this is the final act in March of the Dragons, part of he daily drawing themed months, and theres an extra-ordinary new theme for April ;)
B) this dragon is tied to the ongoing and lifelong project of body art, and hopefully soon to be an everlasting companion in my life

Fluffy the Fish: The Final Masterpiece, collaboration with Paige Spurdle

.Wow, Ow .. This has got to be the most painful birthday present of a lifetime! And a beautiful momento for my dearest fish, Fluffy, who is swimming through the stars as we speak <3
Paige Spurdle - Custom Tattoos changed the riginal background somewhat, being the expert and skilled artist herself to adapt it to something do-able ... and quite frankly something truly stunning !
Its got to be the longest tattoo yet, and after 2 hours i had to pause for water nearly fainting from dehydration
My word, i hope Paige is as proud of her ink as i am speachless <3

All things bright and beautiful... and utterly painful!

19/09/18 - All things bright and beautiful... because most things are.

This ink today is invaluable for two reasons.

The biggen - It's full of memories of Grandad (be at peace <3 ) , it ignites visions of him as a child, memories that come in youthful, fleeting snapshots, as its the one hymn that stamped in my young memory at his funeral, if nothing else. That is the heart <3

Second: I've found myself telling many people they are worth a lot, they should think more of themselves and others consider them on kindness, energy and not on appearence. Beautiful on the inside makes beauty on the outside.

But i dont actually take my own advise. So reason #2 is to give me this unavoidable.... unerasable! note-to-self .... and to others that catch me in my usual short-shorts get-up!

Love yourself, you are worth it..... worth the sheer agony of a thigh tattoo and THAT is something!!!

The Faded Fox cries out for a pick-me-up

09/08/18 - Update
After handing this one oer to Josh at Living Art Tattoo, Plymouth, Im pleased to say its now healed and is a true masterpiece! THe first one thats not my own design, the original fox ruined by the tattooist, what was a real inky stigma on my shoulder is now a beautiful work of art!

Tattoo Design Extra: The Yin and Yang of Roses

Here's one for the flash portfolio.
A huge project it turned out to be, stippled with millions and millions of inky dots!
But for the night owl hours some time each night spent with art is always therapeutic. A suitable subject here to reflect the balance and peace in that time <3

 25/07/18 - After an epic journey of design, redesign, sketching painting and binning, this project finally arrives at its final destination! I hope mum approves.... because this HURT!

Mum's ink anklet - Refining

 Part 1 - initial ideas
At long last we managed to hit a sweet spot with this one. Failing with the complex anatomy of mums favourite flower alstonomocalicalia? i resorted to my personal favourite, don't-forget-mes.
First idea was a literal anklet, chain, and we both love this idea. Then i came up with a more natural design below.
Both are in the development process and two polished outcomes will come from this, then its just a matter of deciding which of the two is best!
Still working on the flower design itself.

"I like this. But then I liked the other one too. The forget-me-nots idea is a brilliant one. Green or black, both are good. Spot on! Not sure about the shape of the little green leaves though, one of them looks almost penis shaped, pardon my language!"

made a doxen versions of this now, heres the latest 2 desgins. More elaborate with 2 sizes and dynamic composition. Then combining the two ideas with leafs. :)

still going to refine the vine idea too so its not over yet haha! putting all other work down today, my heart is just set on this  right now

 Below: This chain idea with metal rings between the flowers has been discarded... it looks a mess and with the tattoo its unlikely to look elegant at all working with the ink and small scale. One cock up and black might tarnish the blue?

And finally the final vine. With or without the knots?
